This week the Nu-Jazz and Downtempo jazz styles of Skalpel. This Polish duo of Marcin Cichy and Igor Pulo have been tearing up the jazz dance clubs of Europe with there unique style of Future Jazz.  They blend Hip-Hop beats with samples from Polish jazz recordings from the 60′s and 70′s.  You’ll hear music from their recordings: Sculputre, Konfusion, 1958 Breaks and more.

Also music from Sex Mob, Aronas, Kombo, Blockhead Nicola Conte and more.  Another episode continuing our look at the more Modern styles of Modern Jazz!!

He’s not a comic book hero, a cartoon villain, not even a stuffed animal mascot with a straggly beard.  What he is is one of England’s finest DJ’s that works in the new styles of Jazz, Downtempo, Trip-Hop and Nu-Jazz.  He (Mr. Sruff) is Andy Carthy, and music is just one of his many skills – he also produces the visuals that run during his shows, the graphics for his record label and much of his album artwork.
